This pendant is made from Premo polymer clay with watch gears, screws and an old Bulova watch face. I sealed the heart in the center with UV cured resin. This pendant is going to Kristen, owner of Nissitissit Group LTD, a property management company. I have been doing Constable work for her going on four years now.

This little polymer clay hummingbird was made for my friend and hairdresser Sandi. I used various watch parts and mica powders to adorn the little one…I reinforced the beak with a piece of copper wire. Sandi already has it hanging in the window of her shop.

The owner of Crowne Jewelers in Leominster, MA has been giving me old watches that are unrepairable to use in my art pieces. When I saw the Clock Assemblage case that Tim Holtz has , part of his Idea-ology line of products, I knew what I wanted to do…I got to work and made this for Roger. The case is covered in Ranger’s Foil Tape sheets that I textured with Tim’s Alterations plate…I used old watch faces with polymer clay letters to spell out “Jewelers”. Inside the case are letters made from Grunge board that spell “CROWNE”. Most of the techniques I used were learned from Tim in the many classes I have been fortunate enough to attend. The clock handle, feet and front edge were painted with a 18 KT gold leaf pen. This was a really fun project!

Friends give me old electronic items and I salvage parts from them for my art pieces. This polymer clay heart has a mini circuit board covered with UV cured resin. I also added some watch parts, screws and a resister. I am currently working on an assemblage item and I will post that in the very near future. My hand is feeling better and it is good to be working in clay again…I just need to stay away from sharp knives!

They are painting the Sagamore Bridge at the Cape…so glad that we are on the mainland side of the Canal so the lane closures will not be a problem for us. We are really looking forward to spending time at the Cape relaxing and enjoying all the tastes of Cape Cod. Lobster Pot here I come! We have a great view of the bridge from our living room windows and it is also really cool walking on the Canal service roads under the bridge watching the painters.
