FOR AMANDA…

2015 Liberty by AmandaMy fellow Statue of Liberty Club member Amanda sent me a thank you card and on the cover was a Statue of Liberty drawing she made.  So I had Jan copy it and I decided to make her a pendant with her drawing. I used Sculpey® Souffle polymer clay and two of my favorite Makin’s® Textures Sheets. The piece was then finished with mica powders.

SKULLY….

2015 SkullI made this pendant with Fimo® Effect Night glow polymer clay. For the eyes and nose I used Swarovski crystals and the mouth is a small piece of zipper. I added patina with a little antiquing medium paint.

POLYMER CAFE

Polymer CafeTwo of my pieces are in the September/October 2015 issue of Polymer Cafe. Thank you Scott Publications!

SCHOOL DAYS…

IMG_3569Here’s my August Makin’s Clay® project.  It’s a mint tin cover with clay.  The pencils are made entirely of clay extruded with the Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder® as is the border of the blackboard. Head over to makinsclayblog.blogspot.com for complete instructions!

FOR ROBERT…

2015 Gushlaw CrossThis cross was made with Sculpey Souffle™ clay.  I used numerous Makin’s® Texture Sheets and embellished with a fleur-de-lis and some eyelets. The piece was finished with mica powders.

FOR GREG

2015 Gushlaw HeartsThis pendant was made for my friend Greg.  I used Sculpey Souffle™ polymer clay. The back was embossed with a Makin’s ® Texture Sheet.  I used a Korr heart roller on the front and finished with mica powders.

POLYMERCLAYTV PROJECT II

My second project for POLYMERCLAYTV was inspired by my mentor Laurie Mika and is an homage to my great aunt who raised me. I used SculpeyIII®, round stamps, bunting mold, fancy scallop border set, and punchinella, all available through POLYMERCLAYTV. I also textured the clay with numerous Makin’s® Texture Sheets and added color with mica powders. My aunt, Alexcina Rose Odell, was called Honey by everyone who knew her. She was my rock, my heart and the most wonderful kind woman I have ever known…I miss her so deeply2015 Pats Aunt.a.
