Just Mixed Media Magazine…

2018 JMM Vol 4 pgsThank you again, Scott Publications, for adding four of my art pieces to Vol. 4 of  Just Mixed Media magazine. What an honor to be in all 4 issues!

DOORIE, DOOR KNOB ANGEL…

2018 Angelfinal framedMy June Makin’s Clay® project was a lot of fun to create.  I used an antique glass door knob, some black Makin’s Clay®, metal wings, ball chain, a gear and a large nut to create my little angel. Hop on over to Makinsclayblog.blogspot.com for complete instructions and you can make one too!

SWITCH PLATE COVER…

2018 Koi Switch cover

This month, with my  CreateAlong.com box, I covered a switch plate cover with Premo® polymer clay, then used their Magic Transfer Paper for the main design.  I then colored in the design with alcohol inks. This will be going into our pool house!

MY LITTLE PINEAPPLE…

2018 PinappleI just love all the applications that are possible with Makin’s Clay®.  I covered a small plastic medicine bottle with some Makin’s Clay® and formed a small pineapple.  When it dried I carved out the texture, painted it yellow then added bronze wax to the lines. The top is an air plant…what a cute way to display your air plant and recycle a little plastic bottle that would have ended up in the trash!  Anything is possible with Makin’s The No Bake Clay®.
