FOR RYAN…

2015 Tommy MeganI made this polymer pendant for my friend Ryan.  The butterfly represents resurrection and the wings are for the angels to fly. I used Sculpey Souffle clay for this project.

Something is fishy here…

2015 Lenscrafter KittyI made this little kitty for a gal at Lenscrafter who was very helpful when I got my new glasses.  It is made from Sculpey Souffle polymer clay. The inclusions are glass beads for the eyes, a spring from my inhaler, watch gears, pins and steampunk glasses. Apparently this little kitty eat a couple of fish….bad kitty.

ROCKY RACOON…

2015 Rocky Racoon combinedHere’s the second project of the year-long polymer clay Virtual Retreat.  The instructor was Katie Oskin of Pennsylvania.  This little creature is Rocky racoon…he is made from Premo polymer clay.  I used crystal brads for the eyes.

BRACELET

2015 BracletHere’s the first project I’ve made from the year-long Polymer Clay Virtual Retreat. The instructor was Syndee Holt.  I used Sculpey Souffle clay for this project because it is light weight and is stronger than regular Premo clay.  Thanks Syndee for an awesome class!

MAD LOVE….

2015 Mad Love GuitarThis polymer pendant was made for my friend Bev who recently lost her beloved son David. The guitar is embellished with several watch parts and I used cut down pins to make the frets on the arm of the guitar, then coated the arm with Magic Gloss. Think of all the good memories of your son when you wear this.

Polymer Clay Adventure Virtual Retreat

studio4  I am very excited…I enrolled in the first ever polymer clay virtual retreat which will run from January 1st until December 31st 2015. There are 22 awesome instructors from my friends Laurie Mika to Christy Friesen and way too many to name…24 projects during the year. It will be an amazing adventure learning new techniques and designs, exploring new ideas in a community of kindred spirits. I am so ready and my studio is calling me as it kicks off today.  Happy New Year everyone, I can’t wait to share all the cool things I will be making.
