Happy Thanksgiving

ThanksgivingThis Thanksgiving I am wishing all my family, friends, and blog followers a blessed day.  Be good to one another…remember all our soldiers that are away from their home protecting our country.  I am thankful for all the love and support I get from my partner and dear friends.  Also prayers go out to Tommy…be strong Marianne, all your friends are here for you.

This heart was made with SCULPEY ULTRA LIGHT.  After it was baked, I used a carving knife to “facet” the heart and give it a carved look.  I learned this technique from Christi Friesen.  I added a resister, a ball point pen spring, mini nails, screws and a large gear. The eye is a glass bead.  I painted the heart with Tim Holtz’s Distress Crackle Paint.

2013 Got my eye on you

CharlieThis polymer clay plaque is of Charlie the fish…he will be swimming down to Port Charlotte Florida later this month. Charlie has a plethora of inclusions: eyelets, gears, clock parts, watch parts, ball chains, a propeller, a faucet handle, hinges, and some springy parts I salvaged from a phone,  jewelry parts and rhinestones.  His eye is a button.  Mica powders give the fish some nice colors.  This one is for you “Sister”!
