I was working in my studio one day a couple of weeks ago listening to the oldies radio station…all of a sudden the song : “One- eyed, one- horned flying purple people eater” invaded my thoughts! I thought about it for several days and this is the image that kept coming to me so I put my idea of what he must look like to clay.
He is made from Premo polymer clay. His one lone eye is made of glass and his belly is filled with three “people” he devoured. The “people” are sealed into his belly with a UV cured epoxy.
Mr Purple People Eater came to land because he wanted to get a job in a rock n’ roll band…he is pigeon-toed under-growed and plays rock n’ roll music through the horn in his head. Ooh, he sure looks strange to me!

I made this small polymer clay plaque for Linda and Lori, owners of Ink About It in Westford Massachusetts. This year they celebrate their 7th anniversary! Pay them a visit…they carry a large supply of rubber stamps, nice papers, many of Tim Holtz’s products, inks, stamp pads, a lot of supplies for the scrapbooker and offer many awesome classes. All the women that work there will be ready to answer any questions you may have and they always greet you with a smile.

This polymer clay heart is adorned with watch parts and ball chain around the perimeter. I made it for my sister-in-law. Her heart was broken when “Ma” passed away…but, it is now repaired by the memories of days gone by, and Ma’s spirit will be with her forever. “There are lines upon my face from a lifetime of smiles.”

Tik-Tok is a 3″ robot that I made from polymer clay for my friend Mary who works at INK ABOUT IT in Westford: ( please see the link at this blog to check out the store). I happened to hear that Mary likes robots on one of my visits to the store…Mary is always ready to answer any questions about art when you go there. So, thank you Mary…I hope this little robot makes you smile, and thanks for sharing ideas and techniques! Tik-Tok’s “eyes” will glow in the dark if exposed to sunlight during the day.

Here are two mini robots, Robo #9 and Robo #24. They were made from Fimo Stone Effects polymer clay and watch parts which were then covered with a one part UV cured epoxy. The robots will assist two of my favorite golfers when they are on the greens putting away…they need all the help they can get! FORE!!!!!
