I used an Ajax dish washing detergent bottle as the substrate to make this mannequin. It is covered with Makin’s Clay®. Gears, an old clock key, a keyhole escutcheon with a key and various other found objects adorn Ajax. Metallic finishing waxes complete the project.

Here’s what I created with the CreateAlong.com polymer clay box. I love the Magic Transfer Papers and used them for the dragonfly imagines. I also used heat-set crystals and some flower stamps. The sphere was built on an old light bulb covered with Souffle® polymer clay then antiqued with burnt umber oil paint. The sphere flew down to NC to chill out.

For my May Makin’s Clay® project, I made a necklace from extruded clay that resembles pencils. I saw a similar necklace on Pinterest made from real colored pencils and decided to make one from clay. Looks can be deceiving. Go to Makinsclayblog.blogspot.com for complete instructions.
