Back in town…

CapeCod SirenThis is a piece I made back in 2013 and was at our Cape Cod cottage.  It was made in the style of Laurie Mika, an artist I love and often try to emulate. Now it is back in town where I can see it daily.  The young woman in the center is Jan’s Mom.

Our Cape Cod cottage is being sold.  I took the steampunk seahorse porthole home from the Cape 2014 seahorse portaland it now adorns my bathroom door here in Shirley.  I made this in 2014, now it is back home.

2017 EKG HeartThis heart pendant was made for a friends hubby who recently had open heart surgery.  I used Sculpey® III and various gears and copper wire.  The arteries were formed using my Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder®. I also added a mini circuit board on the back to control the beat. When my wife took a picture of it for my Blog, she said: The gear in the front looks like a face…I said OMG, Marie, his wife, sees faces in everything!  Here’s looking at you.

The Background Graphics Desktop Design BlueNumber 13 was created from Makin’s Clay®, the No Bake Clay®. He is my September project and he now monitors the activities in my studio.  Hop on over to: Makinsclayblog.blogspot.com for complete instructions and make yourself a little robot!
