BUELL MUSEUM PIECE FOR CURATOR…

Fu;; Steam AhadThis steampunk pendant called “FULL STEAM AHEAD” is named after the exhibit at the Buell Museum in Pueblo Colorado that will run from June through November 2014.  I was asked to exhibit some of my art…I made this pendant for the Curator, Donna Stinchcomb. Polymer clay with inclusions of copper wire, gears, “metal pipes”and a mini faucet handle make up this piece.  Mica powders finish the item.

FOR LINDA & LORI…

2014 Heart Ink About ITMy friends Linda and Lori, owners of Ink About It in Westford, will be closing the doors of their shop after 10 years tomorrow.  I will very much miss seeing these two dynamic women who had in my opinion, one of the best paper craft stores around. I always felt welcomed…I will miss all the talented women who worked there and helped encourage me to follow my muse and keep creating with my polymer projects.  These two hearts are for you Linda and Lori.  May your future be filled with good health, love and joy!

BUELL MUSEUM PIECES…7,8,9.

Lady LiberryHappy HeartPropeller BirdHere are the first three pieces I finished for the Buell Museum exhibit in Pueblo Colorado…I will post them in groups of 3 until I get all 24 done.  I am sure you all know which one is my favorite.  All the pieces will be for sale with the exception of Lady Liberty.  All three pieces are made from Premo polymer clay with inclusions of gears, propellers, screws, watch parts and a mica powder finish.  Back to the studio to get more done…a womans work is never done!  But alas, I am having fun and keeping out of trouble.  Thanks Jan for all the time you will be taking to do my photos…you’re the BEST!
