    Just Steampunk! Volume 1 2011

To all our family and friends:  May you have a blessed and peace filled Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter and joy.  To all the folks still suffering from hurricane Sandy…our prayers and thoughts go out to you.  I am thankful for living in the best country in the world.  I am grateful for my wonderful partner who fills my life with joy.  Gobble gobble…

What an honor to be published the second year in a row in JUST STEAMPUNK 2.  Page 22 featured some of my polymer clay art works.  All the pieces shown were made as gifts for family or friends.  I am really having a lot of fun creating pieces of art from ideas that float through my mind.  Thank you Scott Publications for showing my art to the world!

Hurrican Sandy

This 55 foot spruce tree did not survive the hurricane on Monday and pulled the electric and telephone wires off the side of our home when it fell.  It also damaged a Norway maple and the spruce tree next to it. Our power was restored on Wednesday night and phone service Thursday.  Yesterday all three trees were removed. What a stressful time.  Our local fire and police departments were awesome and put us on a priority list to get power back as soon as possible.  Sgt Violette was so kind and lent us his generator so we did not lose all the food in the fridges and freezer.  Our prayers go out to the thousands of folks in NY, CN, and NJ that suffered devastating loss.  Mother Nature was not kind this year.
