B. Chainz

Here is B. Chainz, a polymer clay robot I made for my friend Mary who works at INK ABOUT IT in Westford.  Her son collects robots and I have made several robots for him.  Chainz has a double eye that enables him to see things in front and back of him at the same time.  I used some watch stems, screws, a ball point pen spring and a mini lock to dress him.  He is a little bit of an “air head” with the breeze blowing past his blue eye. I also used ball chain for his arms and his head has a little bulb to make him a little brighter.  His little heart is encased in resin.

I was walking Kinzee in the yard and this leaf from one of our maple trees caught my eye…I traced it onto a piece of plastic and made a pattern. Calling this polymer clay pendant: “AUTUMN TIME”…it is adorned with the face of an Elgin watch, little balls of clay and rivets.  I added some color with mica powders to replicate the leaf I found.  Leave a comment and I will give this away on October 12th, the real Columbus Day!  “The Autumn leaves drift by my window…”

This is a polymer clay transfer that I made into a magnet for my Sister-in-law.  Chester, a sweet little Yorkie, was her little buddy…he got sick and is no longer with us.  It is very sad when we loose one of our cherished pets that give us so much love and companionship. We humans should learn to give that unconditional love and this world would be a better place.
