Here’s my little Santa Pin made from a pull tab from a can of veggies. It is made entirely out of Makin’s Clay®, an awesome air dry polymer clay. I love to up cycle and this pin was a great use of a pull tab that people usually just throw out. Go to Makinsclayblog.blogspot.com for complete instructions on how you too can make a Santa pin!

This is my second November project for POLYMERCLAYTV. I had some Studio™ by Sculpey® polymer clay in my stash and decided to use it for this project. I used several cutters and push mold that you too can get at http://www.polymerclaytv.com , an awesome place for neat clay supplies and super videos. While you are there check out the virtual retreats, there’s one for polymer, jewelry and quilting. For a mere $99 you get 12 months of instructions from world renown artist…it is the best deal going! In the making of this wreath, I also used my favorite Makin’s® texture sheets on the leaves, some mica powders and a few glass leaves.

These are the individual pieces that went inside the MAKINTV. The bows on the packages in Santa’s sack were made using a Polymer Clay TV mold. All are made with Makin’s Clay® except for the sled runners, mirror and some parts of the rabbet ears. This is why I love Makin’s Clay®…versatility at its best! The ceiling tile is not clay but scrapbook paper I have had for years. The floor is clay though.

Here is my Makin’s Clay® project that I have been working on for the past month. Every item is made from Makin’s Clay®. The braided rug was made by extruding three colors of clay with the Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder®, the wreath was made using a Makin’s® Push mold. All the other items were hand crafted using Makin’s Clay®. I finished the exterior with an oil based paint to antique the clay. This technique was taught to me by Design Team member Kim Hale…thanks Kim I really love the patina and sheen the paint imparted on the clay!

My first November project for Polymer Clay TV is a 3″ x 4″ wall hanging. I used Sculpey’s™ Premo polymer clay. Makin’s® texture sheets were used in the background and PCTV’s leaf shape cutters and molds were used for the leaves. I added gold and silver leaf to the clay and also mica powders. Antiquing was with brown acrylic paint. The leaf fairies are in my yard now…I am hoping they chase the bear away!
