OH BUOY…

Maritime Boat Bump Buoy BoatingI made this buoy using Makin’s Clay®, The No Bake Clay®.  The substrate is a cardboard tube and aluminum foil. It was antiqued with burnt umber oil paint. I also used a Makins® Clay Cutter to form the number “6”.  The buoy is about 5″ tall. Taking this to our Cape Cod cottage.

MINI COIL BOWL….

Centerpiece Roses Dining Bouquet Table FlowersI made this little coil bowl at Klay Karma using my Makin’s Professional® Ultimate Clay Extruder®.  The next one I make I will use thinner extruded clay, but this was an experiment and a learning process.

DON’T BUG ME…

2017 Steampunk Bug with logoHere is Tommy, my steampunk bug.  He is my July Makin’s Clay® project.  Head over to Makinsclayblog.blogspot.com  for complete instructions so you can make a bug too!  The “stinger” is an old brass screw I found at Ft. Devens where they had demolished some old army barracks.  But, just remember, don’t bug me!!!

2017 SOL BottleCapThe girls that own Polymer Clay TV are opening a new shop in Florida where classes, workshops and all kinds of fun polymer events will be held. They asked if anyone has any bottle caps for a project they are doing.  They also asked if anyone would make an art bottle cap and here is mine.  Premo polymer clay was used and the star impressions came from a Makin’s®  texture sheet. I also embedded a mini pewter Statue of Liberty on the top.  Good luck on your new adventure!
