Cloth Paper Scissors, a collage, mixed media artist magazine, had a reader challenge…build a home for their little neighborhood. The mini abode could be made from fabric, paper, metal, found objects, anything but it could not exceed 1/2 lb. There was a pattern to use and the house was to be that size. Well, I love a challenge. I made my house called “Liberty House” fashioned after our home. I used basswood for the frame, then covered it with Grungeboard. I cut out the windows, glued acetate that I tinted with alcohol ink onto the back, made shutters from the window cut outs, then used Glossy Accents to fill the window openings. The chimney was made from basswood that I textured with a hot knife. And to finish it off, there is Lady Liberty in front just like at my home! Yesterday I learned that Liberty House was a finalist…so off it goes to Cloth Paper Scissors to be possibly featured in an up coming issue.

Pat that house is great. What a lot of work you put into it, it shows. Good luck.
Loved the little steam punk bird also.
Were you ever able to use the Liberty postcard I gave you a while ago?
