The many faces of LibertyHere’s the totem I made at Laurie Mika’s class last Saturday…and, as usual, the class was awesome!  Laurie Mika lives in California.  She is a published mixed media artist who travels here is the USA and in other countries teaching her mosaic techniques. The totem is made of polymer clay and has various charms and other inclusions…paint and mica powders highlight the pieces. Tomorrow I will post the “quilt” pieces I made during Friday’s class. Everyone had a great time…Laurie is so relaxed and can communicate her techniques with ease, her teaching skills are spot on.  Thanks Laurie for 14 hours of fun!

  2. It is a real beauty! I am so glad that you got to take the class. Laurie was here in Austin teaching before I knew of her. It was a couple of years ago and I am still kicking myself.

  3. Wow, this is awesome!

  4. Another gorgeous make! I bet your home has a beautiful art collection! Thanks for showing us your class projects.
