    Just Steampunk! Volume 1 2011

This was a fun little project…our sweet friend Amy Massey Weider, owner of Century21  Shoreland in Hyannis, had a little boy on August 7, 2012.  Ryland joins his sister Kinsley and his dear Dad Matt to make up a wonderful family.

I made the covers of the book out of polymer clay…the signature pages were made from paper I had left from our wedding invitations.  Jan, my ace photographer, captured the pictures from Facebook and sized them  for the little book.  I gilded the edges of the pages with 18K gold leaf. I enhanced the clay with mica powders, put mini screws in the corners: ( you know I had to get at least a little Steampunk in the mix), and used book binding tape to hold it together.  This was a very enjoyable project and I hope Amy smiles when she receives it!  You have a very lovely family my friend.
